He Really Cares

He Cares for Me” For the Christian new beginnings are not just for the New Year. It is every day, 365 days a year!  We don’t have to carry the pain, disappointment and anger of yesterday into our today and help them to multiply in our tomorrows….that’s the GOOD NEWS! When believers walk in the truth of His word we have the joy of receiving forgiveness every day and new mercies every morning! Every sunset is the end of a day and every sunrise is God’s assurance that we have another day to do, to be, to have, love and live better

I love this quote from Adrian Rogers: “Foolish people spend time and money poring over horoscopes and consulting so-called psychics trying to see the dark unknown. How much better to walk through life holding the hand of One who knows the way and cares for us!   Excerpt taken from Unveiling the End Times in Our Time: The Triumph of the Lamb in Revelation

Before I knew the Lord I lived misguided, misinformed and I misunderstood the realities of life.  I had become so hardened by my sin I didn’t know right from wrong and couldn’t discern my left from my right hand as it says in Jonah 4:11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left……..?”

Throughout our life there is many times that we feel “no one cares for us”. I love that David wrote in the Psalms the reality of his human feelings of fear, rejection, disappointment, abandonment, sorrow of heart and anger.  He also writes of God’s faithfulness, mercy and care for us in the midst of them as we read in Psalm 142 1-7:

I cry out to the Lord with my voice;
With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication.
2 I pour out my complaint before Him;
I declare before Him my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me,
Then You knew my path.
In the way in which I walk
They have secretly set a snare for me.
4 Look on my right hand and see,
For there is no one who acknowledges me;
Refuge has failed me;
No one cares for my soul.

5 I cried out to You, O Lord:
I said, “You are my refuge,
My portion in the land of the living.
6 Attend to my cry,
For I am brought very low;
Deliver me from my persecutors,
For they are stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison,
That I may praise Your name;
The righteous shall surround me,
For You shall deal bountifully with me.”

God allows testing and trials to reveal what is hidden in our heart, He reveals to heal. Sometimes He leads us into the valley of the shadow of death so that we may learn to trust Him and deliver us from fear.  His heart is not to harm us although it does hurt to walk through this life with its suffering.

He leads us through it (the valley) to take us to it (the promises).  He longs for us to know His heart and character.  Walking through the valley is lonely, truth be known sometimes it is horrifying.  In our journey we find many opportunities and reasons to be offended by everything and everyone, even God.

Most of what Jesus said and did offended people:

Matthew 15:22-28, the Gentile Samaritan woman He referenced as a dog

Matthew 16: 23 He addressed Peter and said “get behind Me Satan”

Matthew 15: 7-9, 12 He called the Pharisee’s hypocrites, the disciples asked Him if He realized He offended them.

Often God will use an offense to reveal what is in our heart to us which is His loving opportunity to be confronted with the truth.  Once we see what is in our heart we then have the choice to repent, be healed and walk in freedom and joy or stay offended, be bitter and walk in the bondage of a hurt and wounded spirit.

The ministry of He Cares for Me assists believers as they walk through their valley into a beautiful place of joy and freedom.  There have been over 100 people since the ministry was launched 2 years ago that can declare as David did in Psalm 142 the righteous surrounded me and God has dealt bountifully with me.

When the Care Ministry team surrounds a person in need of forgiveness and freedom and prays for them the Holy Spirit brings about deliverance and healing in a powerful way and does it beautifully and bountifully.  The definition of bountifully: liberal in bestowing generous gifts, favors, a premium or reward, abundant supply.
