Revelation 4:1-5 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
The Spirit invites us to come up higher and and see things from the Lord's perspective. Often when we are in the thick of a pandemic, challenge, loss, or heartache there is a measure of spiritual and emotional warfare involved. The battle rages against our faith in the promises of God, especially when what we thought we heard from God but it was only our own wishful thinking. We can become weary, worried and wavering in our faith. We are living in days of intense warfare. The definition of warfare is a vicious, unrelenting conflict. Just turn on the news you will find endless drama and trauma. We cannot fight the good fight of faith when we are exhausted. It is imperative, critical and commanded that we come away so we can come up higher and see with heavenly perspective. Song of Solomon 2:10 My beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. Many years ago, at a time when I felt completely drained from ministry, the drama of peoples lives. I attended a prophetic conference hoping to hear a word of encouragement. I got more than I bargained for. The word of the Lord was, "Daughter, if you do not learn to come away and rest in Me, I will pass you by for what I have planned for you." At first I was horrified that He would pass me by. But then the Scripture brought understanding. Hebrews 4:1-3 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:“So I swore in My wrath,‘They shall not enter My rest,”although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. It was then the Lord revealed to me that I did not trust Him to take of His business, His church, His people if I set time aside to rest and seek Him. I chose to obey and honor the Lord of the Sabbath by setting aside time to rest on the Sabbath and to set apart one month the first of the year as a sabbatical. When I first started the month sabbatical I was warned that if the pastor is not present it may effect attendance at the church. To that my response was, "Well then they must be coming to church to hear from the pastor, not to hear from the Lord." A sabbatical has been my practice now for over 14 years. Since doing so I can say, The Lord has blessed me with great joy and strength to face every challenge I have encounter on the journey. Every seven days the Lord commands a rest for His people and every seven years a rest for the land. Leviticus 25:4-5 but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. 5 What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. When we honor the Lord with our obedience we demonstrate by faith that we are only co-laborers with Him, He is the One who gives us the fruit of our labor. When we learn to rest and trust Him we will not fear in famine, pestilence or pandemics we will trust in the Lord our God! 2019-2022 has only been a dress rehersal for the church for what is coming on the earth will be far more challenging than anything we have known up to this time. Now is the time to learn to rest, cease from striving, and trust in the Lord. Come away with Him and come up higher. Ask Him to show you things through the biblical lense of Scripture. Trust that the Lord is in your midst, He is strong and mighty in battle. Stand still and see the salvation of your God! We are praying for awakening in the land, but revival must first come to the church. Jeremiah 12:5 “If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

It is critical that once we have forgiven an offense and the offender that we bless them. Blessing is the next step following forgiveness. Matthew 5: 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
Deliverance is incomplete without first repenting followed by receiving and giving forgiveness. It is important that we then bless those who caused us harm and suffering. After blessing we then break the power of the words and the spirit behind the person, we yielded control giving them dominion over us. We use our authority in the Name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood to "break the power and spirit." We must exercise our authority through the Name and shed blood of Jesus Christ to discern, disarm dismiss and dismantle the enemy stronghold. Followed by inviting the Holy Spirit to bring healing to the soul and fill those places once controlled by demonic influence and lies. We decree and declare what I AM says I am and ask Holy Spirit to fill us with His righteousness, peace and joy. John 6:68b You have the words of eternal life. Just like the Word of God has the power to give life. The words of the enemy by his power produces death. Thus, the reason we must break his power and spirit off of us, our family, etc. Paul Writes in I Corinthians 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. I Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. We all agree that words have power. Jesus said in John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. In the Garden the devil spoke his words to Eve, those words were lies that had the power to persuade her to sin. Colossians 2:4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. Romans 16:17-18 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 2 Peter2:18-19 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. Many deliverance ministers do an outstanding job teaching the Word of God. Following the teaching the minister prays for individuals commanding spirits to depart. I believe we have neglected to train them to use their authority to minister to themselves, before they can minister to others. Every believer has authority over their own life to break the power and spirit of whatever is tormenting them and command it to leave in the Name of Jesus. Luke 10:19 Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 2020 has certainly been a time of uncertainty for our nation! Although that should not be what is said about the Church of the Living God that is abiding in the Vine and under the shadow of the Almighty. There is a marked difference between those in the church who are repeating what they hear from the media and those who like the sons of Issachar are discerning the times according to Biblical perspective. I Chronicles 12:32-38 (excerpts)...the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.
They were expert with weapons of war, they kept rank, kept battle formation, had a loyal heart and were of one mind. The present testimony of the church in the eyes of the world is one of division. We are divided over the gifts of the Holy Spirit, over worship and over politics. How and why could this be when the Bible says we are one church with One Lord? I personally believe it is an issue of heart transformation. Saul was the poster child of the Pharisees, a professional at the letter of the law. What happened to him on the road to Damascus, (the road to transformation) made him an enemy of the very ones who once applauded him, now they wanted to cancel him out, and so it is today. There is a separation taking place in the body of Christ of those who follow after the Spirit of truth and grace and those who delight in the letter of the law and works, of those who live by fear and those who live by faith. For more information check out their website: https://www.sentinelgroup.org/. It was a divine encounter with the presence of God that forever changed my life. That day started a process that I liken to the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. Nothing about the process is appealing, but oh the glorious, beautiful, magnificent transformation! It begins with personal transformation through the healing of our soul, it then overflows into the church bringing healing and deliverance to the people, it is then that the Lord can use the church as a catalyst of healing for the land!
After watching the video I knew God had placed His anointing on me as a prayer compassion missionary to Haverhill. Massachusetts. The Lord confirmed His call in a multiple of undeniable ways. In my first book, "Where is God on Tuesday," I write about my personal journey of that encounter and how it forever changed my life. In my third book, "He is Looking for a Donkey"...to ride into your city, I write about the process that God has brought me through since that encounter over 20 years ago as well as miraculous testimonies of what the Lord has done through a little donkey! The Lord has so much more for us, individually, our family, for the church corporately and nationally than what we can ever imagine. I Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” For those who are hearing what the Spirit is saying to the church and want to be a part of something bigger than yourself, you are invited to join us for the launch of the Tower of Prayer, March 1, 2020 Sunday night from 6:30-8 pm on the campus of Northpoint Bible College in the mini chapel located off of Kingsbury Avenue, Haverhill, MA,. This time of prayer is specifically to pray not only for revival fire to come to the church, but for Transformation of cities and nations. If you plan on being involved it would be to your benefit to watch this documentary 1:01:22 The Power of Prayer and Fasting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MG-XBkCTDY For our first Sunday night meeting we will share the vision, mission, model and goal of sustained prayer every Sunday. We are relying on the Lord to build the volunteer base of prayer missionaries who are willing to give themselves to pray for revival fire and the transformation our city, state and nations. For more information email [email protected]. "May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering" Count Zinzendorf ,In 1978 I received salvation through Christ sacrifice on the cross. But is wasn't until the fall of 1994 when I first encountered the power of the Holy Spirit just like I read about in the book of Acts. Up until then I had only known the Holy Spirit like the disciples did in John 20:21-22 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
As in the garden of Eden when God breathed in the nostrils of Adam and he became a living, life giving being, so Jesus breathed His breath on the disciples and they were anointed with the life giving power of the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit power and authority that Jesus had to preach the Good News, cast out devils, heal the sick and do miracles was imparted to the disciples. Christ was the embodiment of the Holy Spirit and freely gave His power to His disciples. But... did you ever wonder why they were still so insecure, fearful, double minded and jealous? How on earth could Judas be a thief stealing from the treasury and betray the Son of God? How could Peter deny Him when just days before said He would die for Him. Very simply, they were still under the power of their lower nature of carnality even though they received the anointing of the Holy Spirit to do the works of Christ. They didn't lack Holy Spirit power, they lacked the nature and character of Christ, that ONLY can be found in the power of the crucified life hidden in Christ on the cross. It is then, that...."it is not I who lives but Christ who lives in me." After the cross and resurrection the disciples were instructed to wait for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the upper room. THERE WAS MORE! Church...there is MORE! God is preparing His people who are willing to trim their wick and fill their lamp with oil...there is MORE! We can be born again, repent for our sin, receive and give forgiveness, confess the Lordship of Christ, read our Bible, go to church, sing in the choir, teach Sunday school and still be living life in the power of the lower nature of carnality and sin. Let me remind us, sin is simply, knowing to do good and not doing it, to him it is sin. James 4:17. How often I hear from believers, "I know the Word says perfect love casts out fear and he who is fearful has not been perfected in love. But after all I am not perfect and God understands my circumstance and that my personality is one that has difficulty trusting, I am the kind of person that needs to know all the details before I can step out in "faith." I am just cautious and God made me that way. Not all are called to radical life of faith and trust." To those who justify themselves based on human nature and temperament I would ask, how do you reconcile within your own heart Matthew 5:48? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Prior to the resurrection Jesus breathed on the disciples, they had anointing, but after the resurrection Jesus was glorified and the Holy Spirit was given as a gift to not only individuals but to the church to reach the world. His breath in us is our blessing, but the outpouring of His Spirit is a blessing for all the world to see Him work through us. John 7:38-39 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. God will hold us to a greater measure of responsibility and accountability when we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. What was once acceptable no longer is, what was once my personal opinion no longer matters, I must be grounded in the truth, what is permissible for others is no longer permissible for me. I once could travel on a broad path, I now walk on the straight and narrow. As a steward of Holy Spirit power it is no longer, bless me. It is Holy Spirit power to reach a lost and dying world. I now joyfully choose the better thing and willingly live under a stricter judgment. Many are called to a life of purity and holiness but not many will choose it. Many a single person wants to be married, even if the Lord desires them a life of celibacy. The married person wants a divorce to marry a more spiritual "soul mate", even though they made a covenant with their spouse before God Almighty and they cause their children to be spiritually vulnerable by breaking covenant. Many seek position of authority to rule over others, even though their own life is out of order. Many like the Simeon the sorcerer want the power of the Holy Spirit without repentance from witchcraft. Many want to slay giants in the public arena, but they haven't slayed the lion and the bear when no one is watching. Many want to sing on stage, but they don't sing in the secret place of their own heart to minister to the Lord. I am not judging or pointing the finger. I am identifying how I lived before the encounter with the Holy Spirit that FOREVER changed the matrix of my soul. As a follower of Christ I too was once was a thief, a liar, a counterfeit, a glory seeker, man pleaser, full of fear, anxiety, jealousy and selfish ambition....but then I encountered the power of the Holy Spirit. I let go of the past and embrace what He desires for me and that is, to be a reflection of the beauty of His Holiness, daily conforming me to be more like Him. So as not to mislead you to think I am saying I am perfect, oh I am far from it, but I am being perfected (as in maturing) to be more like Him. I have joined the company of disciples of Christ traveling on the highway of holiness in pursuit of His nature and character, until that glorious day when I see Him face to face and I will be like Him. Acts 5: 3-11 reminds us of the narrow path of holiness required for those on the path of holiness. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” 5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. 6 And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. 7 Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” 9 Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things. The world is waiting for the manifest presence of God that comes with true revival. Revival is amazing, glorious and wonderful, but it will require holiness, and holiness will cost us everything! Instead of writing a blog I feel prompted to post this teaching on Oneness. John 10:30 Jesus said, I and My Father are One. Deuteronomy 6:4The Lord our God, the Lord is One. Oneness with God is the most powerful weapon against sin. Because Jesus was One with His Father there was no place the devil could find in Him for sin. Jesus is coming back for His wedding day with His bride, a holy people, without spot, wrinkle or blemish and the two shall become one.
Oneness Releases Healing I. Oneness -the power of agreement a. Oneness in purpose, essence, mind, heart and passion, which exceeds mere organizational and institutional unity. Joseph Mattera 1. Unity is the process. Oneness is the product. 2. Unity depends upon an event. Oneness transcends an event and knits people together. 3. In unity, people assemble for a common interest. In oneness, people are integrated for kingdom purpose. 4. Unity is the means. Oneness is the end. 5. Unity is how we should start. Oneness is how we should finish. 6. Unity is built upon encouragement. Oneness is built upon purpose. 7. Unity releases temporary momentum. Oneness creates synergy that maximizes purpose. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. II. Oneness with God releases healing in the body, soul and spirit a. The whole Gospel is a holistic Gospel Jesus was one with the Father, therefore He had anointing, authority and power. Anointing from above- is released through faith and obedience Authority from within- is released through faith and obedience. It is not just positional…but is also relational and relevant. Power-the tangible Holy Spirit power with demonstration of signs and wonders b. Positional oneness - we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places Ephesians 3:10-12 …to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. c. Relational oneness: John 10:30 I and My Father are one. God… the Father, Son and Holy Spirit -born again of the Spirit and Baptized in the Holy Spirit Oneness in our own personhood: body, soul and spirit Man is a 3 part being- body, soul and spirit. When we are not in agreement, oneness within ourselves, then we are unstable as stated in James 1:7-9 "For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." Oneness the family: Husband and wife; father, mother and siblings- oneness and/or the lack of in the family is carried over into the church family. Oneness within the Church leadership: Apostle, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons; releases a commanded blessing and the power to heal d. Relevant oneness- having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand affording evidence, to prove the truth of the matter. The church has a relational and relevancy deficit - We can be so heavenly minded we are no earthly good. We are more self-focused than Holy Spirit focused. * Jesus is the bridge between heaven and earth, the bridge between man and God and the bridge between man and man. * He not only stood in the gap between heaven and hell – conquering sin, death, hell and the grave, but He provides us the means to have a relevant relationship with the Father. * He demonstrated what relevant oneness with people looks like; I am here with you and I am here for you…the woman at the well. * Not only in prayer (oneness with God, in the spirit), but also manifesting the love and power of God in action (toward mankind, in the physical) here on earth! III John 3:2-4 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. e. To be whole-complete is to be…
f. We are cautioned NOT to compare ourselves with one another 2 Corinthians 10:12 but Jesus compared natural and spiritual things when He taught about the mustard seed and the leaven in Luke 13:18-20 g. Naturally speaking -our liver, bladder and intestines are to clean the body of toxins When your liver stores carbs and sugars, it is called fatty liver. So when our body is not processing and eliminating toxins you get sick. When our soul (thoughts, emotions) is not processing and eliminating toxic experiences, words and thoughts, the body and soul are sick. III. When we are toxic we COMPETE instead of COMPLETE one another a. The difference between those 2 words is one letter L=Lord. When the Lord is not the center we compete instead of complete. b. Definition of complete:
I Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved, blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. II Tim 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. c. Compete-to strive consciously or unconsciously for an objective (such as position, profit, or a prize): in a state of rival. d. Complete- when we allow Christ to complete us, we then become a vessel that He can supply what is needed through us. e. Revival will come when the rival ends and we learn to complete each other in the Spirit of truth and love. Ephesians 4:15-16 …but, speaking the truth in love, we will grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. IV. Holistic/ Gospel * Holistic- Holi… istic- translates holiness in action, practice, doctrine, made evident in the quality of one's life * Holistic medicine can only treat disease physically and suppress the mind psychologically. ONLY the Gospel is holistic and has the power to heal body, soul and spirit. * When our soul is born again, like Lazarus, we have been raised by the power of the Holy Spirit, but we need to be loosed from our grave clothes. Jesus said to them, loose him and let him go." It is the ministry of the church to loose the people of their grave clothes once they are raised from the dead. a. Definition of loose: free from anything that restricts and binds b. When behaviors are irrational, unexplainable, and contrary to what we know to be truth, we must invite the Holy Spirit to do a soul scan to resolve the “issue” at the root level. When…. · a bible verse doesn’t resolve the issue, · worship doesn’t resolve the issue, · counseling doesn’t resolve the issue, · reasoning doesn’t resolve the issue, · medication doesn’t resolve the issue, · punishment/confinement doesn’t resolve the issue, · time doesn’t resolve the issue, · going to Bible school doesn’t resolve the issue, c. Dr. Daniel Amen quote, “If we don’t look at people’s brains through a brain scan---you will hurt people.” d. We are created for love; which Dr. Leaf refers as the "Perfect Zone." e. With the Holy Spirit's help believers can identify the areas that are contrary to truth, make the connection between spirit, soul and body so that one can receive healing and freedom. · Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. · Proverbs 27:19 As in water face reflects face, So a man’s heart reveals the man. V. "He Cares for Me" Care Ministers coach rather than counsel · Counseling is telling someone what to do according to the Word of God or putting on them our own personal testimony of how God led, delivered and healed us. · Coaching is leading someone to the All Wise, All Knowing God. We do not allow cerebral rambling about hurts. The enemy is a master at hiding behind excessive verbiage to avoid being discerned, dismissed and discharged from his assignment. He works to keep us in the fleshly realm so we will remain in the prison house. We love to talk around the issue while not using our authority to effectively address the issue. VI. Demonstration of Coaching * As we anoint the person with oil at the reticular formation (base of brain) and the forehead, we ask… Holy Spirit, · Reveal Your primary purpose and focus for this moment, · We are not led by what we know or by feelings, although God will use both as He so chooses. · Your Word says, the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. · We want Your higher level of truth and wisdom. · We thank You Lord for revealing truth according to Your wisdom, · And that You have graced us to deal with what You reveal. · As it says in Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. Together we pray, "Holy Spirit, scan my brain, my thoughts, scan my heart and affections. Examine me and see if there be any place I am contrary to Your thoughts and Your nature. Reveal any wicked ways and means in me. I want to be a clean vessel, a conduit of Your healing love. I will trust what You reveal through Holy Spirit discernment and I will use the authority Christ has given me to dismiss the assignment against me and discharge all opposition and strongholds the enemy has used against me. In Jesus Name, Amen! VII. in Closing: Jeremiah prophesying regarding Jerusalem, the church… Jeremiah 33:6-9 Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. 7 And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return, and will rebuild those places as at the first. 8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me. 9 Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.’ Isaiah 42:6-7 “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, 7 To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. Habakkuk 2: 2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. The ministry of He Cares For Me has seen hundreds of people come through to beautiful healing of the mind and soul. Some have even experienced physical healing when freedom came although we didn't pray for physical healing...it was a by product of forgiveness and freedom. Several times over the years the prophets of God have given me many prophetic words from the Lord that I was to write books, He even gave the direction and title of the books. I remember Pastor Doug Stringer saying, "It isn't real until it is written." Could you imagine if God never moved in Holy men to write the word when He spoke it, we wouldn't have it to read today. I am excited to announce that I have written my newest book "He Cares for Me" will be available for $12.00 within the next few weeks. The book gives the story behind the ministry of how it started, testimonies of people who have been healed, principles we applied from the scripture and insights we gained from doing ministry for several years now. Part of our mission is to raise up lay leaders in the body to be a part of the pastoral care team to lead individuals to the place of healing and experience the Love of God in a real and powerful way that will heal and deliver ones soul from past hurts and trauma's. If you are interested in receiving the book you can contact us by email: [email protected] He Cares for Me” For the Christian new beginnings are not just for the New Year. It is every day, 365 days a year! We don’t have to carry the pain, disappointment and anger of yesterday into our today and help them to multiply in our tomorrows….that’s the GOOD NEWS! When believers walk in the truth of His word we have the joy of receiving forgiveness every day and new mercies every morning! Every sunset is the end of a day and every sunrise is God’s assurance that we have another day to do, to be, to have, love and live better
I love this quote from Adrian Rogers: “Foolish people spend time and money poring over horoscopes and consulting so-called psychics trying to see the dark unknown. How much better to walk through life holding the hand of One who knows the way and cares for us! Excerpt taken from Unveiling the End Times in Our Time: The Triumph of the Lamb in Revelation Before I knew the Lord I lived misguided, misinformed and I misunderstood the realities of life. I had become so hardened by my sin I didn’t know right from wrong and couldn’t discern my left from my right hand as it says in Jonah 4:11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left……..?” Throughout our life there is many times that we feel “no one cares for us”. I love that David wrote in the Psalms the reality of his human feelings of fear, rejection, disappointment, abandonment, sorrow of heart and anger. He also writes of God’s faithfulness, mercy and care for us in the midst of them as we read in Psalm 142 1-7: I cry out to the Lord with my voice; With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication. 2 I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. 3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me. 4 Look on my right hand and see, For there is no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul. 5 I cried out to You, O Lord: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living. 6 Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I. 7 Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.” God allows testing and trials to reveal what is hidden in our heart, He reveals to heal. Sometimes He leads us into the valley of the shadow of death so that we may learn to trust Him and deliver us from fear. His heart is not to harm us although it does hurt to walk through this life with its suffering. He leads us through it (the valley) to take us to it (the promises). He longs for us to know His heart and character. Walking through the valley is lonely, truth be known sometimes it is horrifying. In our journey we find many opportunities and reasons to be offended by everything and everyone, even God. Most of what Jesus said and did offended people: Matthew 15:22-28, the Gentile Samaritan woman He referenced as a dog Matthew 16: 23 He addressed Peter and said “get behind Me Satan” Matthew 15: 7-9, 12 He called the Pharisee’s hypocrites, the disciples asked Him if He realized He offended them. Often God will use an offense to reveal what is in our heart to us which is His loving opportunity to be confronted with the truth. Once we see what is in our heart we then have the choice to repent, be healed and walk in freedom and joy or stay offended, be bitter and walk in the bondage of a hurt and wounded spirit. The ministry of He Cares for Me assists believers as they walk through their valley into a beautiful place of joy and freedom. There have been over 100 people since the ministry was launched 2 years ago that can declare as David did in Psalm 142 the righteous surrounded me and God has dealt bountifully with me. When the Care Ministry team surrounds a person in need of forgiveness and freedom and prays for them the Holy Spirit brings about deliverance and healing in a powerful way and does it beautifully and bountifully. The definition of bountifully: liberal in bestowing generous gifts, favors, a premium or reward, abundant supply. For more information click on Healing Waters weekend tab. Register to attend the healing weekend and you too will be the one to say, “The Lord has dealt bountifully with me”. |
